And imagine that, there are lot of people in comments and threads who need to have this pointed out to them. They are satisfied just with the notion that it was in the ToS and that's that. How did it come to this? How did we get to the point where people just accept what's written without pausing to question what was written?
And to think that the very same ToS clause that was used to yeet the guy for supporting HK was introduced to "protect" marginalized groups.
That's the slippery slope. When such a rule is intentionally made vague to allow for this to happen. Next time you think about a rule that protects a group, make sure you define it in a way that doesn't give leeway for this shit.
There are groups you should protect, but Authoritarian Governments isn't one of them and that needs to be clear.
